All Grown Up

Just when my 2-year old niece is beginning to like Dora ( she used to say Dora is noisy and even hushes the TV when we turn her dvd on..haha), nickoleodeon & Mattel came up with a Tween Dora!

I find it really weird when cartoon characters grow up, the rugrats for example. For me, they should remain how they are and how they used to be, because that is what makes them a cartoon, and what makes them just a product of imagination.  On other news…. guess who I am surprised to see all grown-up as well….

Dakota Fanning!

She’s all grown up! I can’t believe it. She’s one of my favorite hollywood childstars. I just hope she wont become the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, and just grow up to be a simple, low-pro celebrity.

Flickr-ing

I’ve always wanted to take good photos. Being the self-proclaimed camwhore that I was, and being around artists & photographers most of the time, I felt that I needed to enhance my creativity and try to develop the skill of taking good pictures.

So just recently, I got a paid account in flickr and started uploading some of the ‘good’ photos I took ( well from my opinion). Its still amateur-ish as I am still trying to learn how to do it, and still figuring out how to maximize my camera, but I can say I’m learning. Here are some of my favorites:

Apart from the fact that it enhances my creativity and the left side of my brain, its also a good way to  document my everyday experiences, my travels, my thoughts, and just about anything about my life.

I also wanted to start on my kind of 365 project, where I wanted to take at least one good photo of random things per day. Hopefully, i can begin this one soon!

First Love

Do you know that the number one thing the Pinoys search for in Google is Love? We’ll we are really romantic in nature and that’s why they say iba talaga magmahal ang Pinoy.! haha.

Now I want mcdo…cheeseburger, sausage mcmuffin, fries, hot fudge sundae and chicken nuggets. Oh Dang. I’ve been craving for Mcd’s since last Saturday.

i need a beach fix.

BADLY.

I am a Water Sign, and I am happiest when I am near the water.

This photo was taken Feb ‘08, the best by far Bora trip I’ve ever had. It was really relaxed, tranquil, and really rejuvenating.

I find great peace when i’m at the beach, it keeps me grounded, helps me find myself, and gives me the solace & solitude that I really need.

I hope I can hit the beach when I go home. It does not matter if it ain’t Bora. Anywhere with sand & sea would do.

Saigon Anonymous.

Our own version of the A.A., its the midweek SUPPORT GROUP a.k.a. “Happy Hour”.  Its a Happy Hour for ranting, bashing,ranting and bashing. Here everyone is free to talk about their everyday frustrations, depressions and experiences. Coupled with a few bottles of Saigon Beer and big serving of Chili Con Carne, this “session” is big sigh of relief from our everyday adventures.

And Sam who is Apol’s gf and happens to be a fellow IMC-er from UAP who is friends with Tammy, who is  friends with Nins (har har ..get it?!)

Who then in turn both introduced me to Happy Hour!

I’ve gone only a few times because I dont work in D1.

But things like this keep you sane and really help you get by everyday.

It also saves you from the crap of talking to yourself and crying yourself to sleep for days
